| African Adaptation Initiative (AAI) + | Contact: info@africaadaptationinitiative.org The 26th session of the African Union, held in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia in January 2016, established a Technical Working Group (TWG) to oversee the operationalisation of the AAI (AU Decision 603). The TWG Is Chaired by AMCEN and includes representatives of the AGN, the African Development Bank (AfDB), the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (UNECA), the African Union Commission (AUC), New Partnership for Africa’s Development (NEPAD), the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) as well as other institutions and organisations as appropriate, such as the Africa Risk Capacity (ARC). The TWG will guide the AAI through the conceptual phase to operationalisation. + |
