Welcome to the Climate Initiatives Platform (CIP), an online data base/portal for collecting, sharing and tracking information about International Climate Initiatives (ICIs).
The platform contains a comprehensive collection of information on international climate mitigation initiatives currently in operation that have potential to contribute to reduction of greenhouse gas emissions; are international in scope or have the potential for significant impact at global scale; and are dialogues, formal multilateral processes or implementation initiatives.
The information on the ICIs includes: Thematic focus, type of initiative, description, goal and activities, participant, funders etc. Use the links above to browse or search the existing data.
CIP was built on a wiki format to enable collaborative development and flexible use. The purpose is to provide an on-line space that allows contributions from participating organisations and users to ensure it remains accurate and up-to-date.
The UNEP DTU Partnership has been tasked to run the platform starting January 1st 2016, which includes hosting and maintaining it.
