Welcome to the Climate Initiatives Platform (CIP), an online portal for collecting, sharing and tracking information on international cooperative climate initiatives driven by non-state actors such as businesses and cities, often with support from national states. Currently, the collection consists of more than 200 initiatives.

If you have questions or would like to add a new climate initiative to the platform, then please send them by email to us at: cip-udp@dtu.dk

If you want to suggest a new initiative, there are several options. Either use the email-address given above, or click on 'Suggest' above. To register as a user, and thus be granted access to suggest changes to one's initiatives and avoid a cumbersome identification verification process, click on 'Join'.

To browse the initiatives, click on 'Search' for a complete list where one also can narrow the search. To learn more about CIP, the applied criteria and definitions, as well as literature on the impact of ICIs in general, click on 'About'. You can download your search into an Excel sheet, but the Internet Explorer does not work for this. Template:Success Stories

News
Some visitors can now be upgraded to users

If you are a focal point or secretariat for an International Collaborative Initiative (ICI) in our platform, you can now apply for a password to get access to your page. You can then update all the content of your page. Click on the "Register" button on the top and submit the registration form. We will then look at it and if it is ok, give you access to you own page, and only that page.

The Paris Agreement is within reach!

The Compact of States and Regions - 2016 Disclosure Report has been published at:

www.theclimategroup.org/sites/default/files/downloads/compact_report_2016_.pdf

The report reveals, that the vision set out in the Paris Agreement is within reach. Delivering on all disclosed 2020 targets in time would result in savings that put these governments on track to stay below the critical warming threshold of 2 degrees Celsius above pre-industrial levels.

Excel downloads possible, and new criteria added!

You can now download an ICI page or your search results in an Excel sheet (only for Google Chrome at the moment). The search function has been expanded with five criteria which you can use to restrict your search. The criteria are the following: 1) Are not expired, 2) Not only in one country, 3) Not only mentioned in a declaration, 4) Not only have national states as participators, 5) Do not have a secretariat or focal point

Related-initiatives option added!

In the top of the page for some initiatives in the Climate Initiative Platform's website you will now see if the initiative have 1) Sub-initiatives, 2) a Parent-initiative, or 3) a Related initiative.

New Website Design launched!

The design of the Climate Initiative Platform's website has dramatically changed! The purpose is to increase the appeal as well as the user friendliness of the website. There are edits here and there that are continuously addressed.

Our Climate Initiative Platform is now a data provider to the UNFCCC NAZCA Platform.

All the 77 NAZCA Initiatives are now included in our platform, and we are now a data provider about these 77 Cooperative Initiatives to UNFCCC NAZCA, the Non-state Actor Zone for Climate Action.
