Description

Description GPFLR is a proactive network that brings together governments, organisations, communities and individuals with a shared goal. The priorities of the GPFRL are to catalyse support for forest and landscape restoration, to map and analyse restoration potential, and to enhance knowledge and networks on forest landscape restoration. Through active engagement, collaboration and the sharing of ideas and information GPRFL promotes an integrated approach that aims to ensure that forests and the functions they provide are effectively restored and conserved to help secure sustainable livelihoods and ecological integrity for the future.
Objectives The Partnership was initiated with the purpose of catalyzing and reinforcing a network of diverse examples of restoration of forests and degraded lands that deliver benefits to local communities and to nature, and fulfil international commitments on forests.
