Description

Description The Clinton Climate Initiative (CCI) creates and advances solutions to the core issues driving climate change, by working with governments and businesses around the world to develop programs that are both economically and environmentally sustainable. Across all of its programs, CCI uses a holistic approach to address the major sources of greenhouse gas emissions and the people, policies, and practices that impact them.
Objectives Through the Forestry Program, Islands Energy Program and Energy Efficiency Program, CCI aims to address the major sources of greenhouse gas emissions and the people, policies, and practices that impact them.
Activities CCIs Cities program works in an aligned partnership with the C40 Cities Climate Leadership Group (C40), a global network of cities taking action to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and the risks of climate change. In addition to C40-CCI, other CCI programs aim to increase access to clean energy technology and deploy it at the government, corporate, and homeowner levels and to reverse deforestation by preserving and regrowing forests.
