Description
Description | Five guiding questions lead to assess company’s alignment with the low-carbon transition to 2050:
1- What is the company planning to do? 2- How is the company planning to get there? 3- What is the company doing at present? 4- What has the company done in the recent past? 5- How do all of these plans and actions fit together? The resulting ACT rating including a performance score, narrative score and trend score, is key to understanding how ready a business is to transition to a low-carbon world. |

Objectives | Drive companies' climate actions by providing sectoral methodologies as an accountability framework to assess their low-carbon strategies against relevant decarbonisation pathways. |
Activities | - developed, tested and implementing methodologies for Automobile manufacturing, Electric Utilities, Retail and the Building sector (both Construction and Real Estate).
- developing and implementing methodologies covering all high emitter’s sectors as identified by TCFD (non-financial sectors) by 2022. -engage with the initiative key stakeholders (private sector, financial institutions, public authorities and policy makers, NGOs, other climate adaption and mitigation initiatives, academics) by opening the initiative governance, raising awareness and building capacity; - set up the legal structure to enable long-term financial sustainability of the initiative and ultimately achieve its mission. |

Comments on indicators and goals | Companies are assessed using the following framework:
1. What is the company planning to do? 2. How is the company planning to get there? 3. What is the company doing at present? 4. What has the company done in the recent past? 5. How do all these plans and actions fit together? Based on the assessment an ACT rating is made that comprise: a) A performance score from 1 (lowest) to 20 (highest), b) A narrative score from E (lowest) to A (highest), c) A trend score as either "+" for improving, "-" for worsening, and "=" for stable. The highest possible score is therefore:"20,A,+" |
